Swimming Pools

Enjoy a refreshing dip in both of our sparkling pools, a respite from Athens' summer sun. Savor poolside refreshments and relax amid fragrant flowers and cypress trees.

Indoor Pool  

Located at the GB Spa, our indoor pool area welcomes you with its tranquil ambience. An infusion of Aegean hues and sleek design set a contemporary tone, that still manages to evoke the classic feeling of the ancient baths of Rome.  

Heated to the perfect temperature year round, the deep turquoise water of our indoor swimming pool reflects beautifully off of the white marble walls and flooring. The stylized wave-like design of the ceiling lights is echoed in the artful simplicity of the chaise lounges standing around the perimeter. At 13 metres in length, guests are able to swim laps comfortably for a refreshing aquatic workout.

Outdoor Pool

Located on the 7th floor, our outdoor rooftop pool provides a cool respite from Athens' summer sun. With picture-perfect backdrops of Lycabettus Hill, it's hard to determine which is more gratifying: the refreshing water or the uplifting views.

Sitting like a aquamarine-colored gem in the midst of the urban landscape, the outdoor rooftop pool at the Hotel Grande Bretagne is an idyllic spot to enjoy some relaxation in the sun without having to travel very far. In the warmer months, the adjacent pool bar offers refreshing cocktails, fresh fruit juices, and soft drinks set amidst a profusion of fragrant flowers and cyprus trees. Chaise lounges and tables and chairs are scattered around the pool's perimeter, while sun umbrellas provide welcome shade throughout the day.

As our Grecian summer draws to a close and the temperatures start to drop, our outdoor pool remains open and is heated for an equally pleasurable experience until the end of October.
