1. Fill 1 small coffee cup with cold water
2. Place the cold water in a small pot
3. Add 1 teaspoon of ground coffee beans and desired amount of sugar
4. Stir coffee and sugar
5. Let the coffee sink to the bottom and the sugar dissolve
6. Place the pot over a gas burner
7. Heat on low until the water starts to boil
8. An incomplete ring of foam will be formed on the coffee’s surface
9. Remove the pot from the heat before the foam ring closes
10. Pour the coffee into the cup and serve
